Holiday park Papillon is next to the German border. It is not far from the old German town Bad Bentheim. Get to know a 
whole different culture... Also the Slot Bad Bentheim is worth visiting.
The Burchttoren can be seen from far away. From the wall you will have an amazing view. If the trees weren’t that high, you could probably see Enschede. Within the building there are a lot of things to discover about the history of Burcht and the count of Bentheim. There are close family connections between them and the Dutch royalties. Very strange and exiting are the dungeons of the castle where an alchemic laboratory was reconstructed. Good to know is that the complete Dutch commentary is played from a cassette mixed with special light effects. The alchemic and his assistants where employed by the castle lord and where looking for the “stone of wisdom”.
